In June of this year Heidi and I planted the seeds of Ahead of Style, Inc. and thanks to our wonderful clients and stylists it has been growing ever since. This month we are excited to announce we have four new editions to our ever growing salon. I’d like to introduce you to our new stylists April, Tara and Becky. April has been coloring, cutting and styling the residents of Vancouver, WA for many years. April’s amazing talents with hair are the worst kept secret in Vancouver. Just ask her clients! Tara hails from Atlanta, GA. Tara has been rocking hair for 11 years, and got her start at the well known Van Michaels Salon in Atlanta, GA. Tara is also a Design Essentials Educator and specializes in ethnic hair care. Becky just moved to Vancouver, WA from Port Angeles, WA. She has been in the cosmetology industry for over 7 years and her talent is the reason why some of her clients are so dedicated to her they make the drive from Port Angeles to Vancouver just to see her.
Last but not least I’d like to introduce you to Sarah our licensed Esthetician. Sarah has been in the skin and makeup industry for 7 years working with companies like MAC and Shiseido. This month we are officially launching our skin care services. At AOS when it comes to your hair, we only use and carry the products that give us and you the best desired results. We are carrying on that tradition in our skin care products and treatments. If you try anything this month you must try our Body Wraps and our Vegan Facial! Deep conditioning treatments are a very important part of hair care and should be apart of your personal hair care regimen. Unlike daily conditioners which are good for hair maintenance and detangling, deep conditioners repair and heal damaged hair. For really curly, permed, straightened, lightened or relaxed hair or if you blow dry/flat iron your hair every day, a deep conditioner is a must.
Deep Conditioners are vital for problem; heat damaged and chemically treated hair. Heat and chemical treatments rob hair of much needed moisture and protein. Moisture, and protein robbed hair is much more susceptible to unmanageability and breakage. With the first treatment, deep conditioners which are infused with oils, herbs, moisture and silk, wheat, and keratin protein can give you awesome results. For most people with normal hair deep conditioning a couple of times a month is recommended. However the more damage your hair has, the more often you should deep condition.
